This beautiful urn was created by a gifted Skagit Valley artist – Patsy Thola Chamberlain (1936 – 2015). A very small number of the tall red heart urns were created before Patsy passed away. An acquisition trip in December 2016 resulted in Life Cycle securing the remaining two tall red heart urns.
The exterior is a warm shade of red. The inside is sea foam green with a multi-swirl design pressed into the bottom of the interior.
This urn is appropriate for the cremated remains of a pet weighing less than 35 lbs., or as a keepsake urn for a larger pet.
Special note from Bobbie Ruth Langley, President of Life Cycle Pet Cremation:
“Patsy conceived the heart urn specifically with pets in mind. The first time I saw one in her gorgeous Skagit Valley studio I gasped and smiled at just how perfect the vertical heart design lends itself to memorializing a pet. The simplicity of the shape, the handmade curves, the gorgeous colors (that Patsy labored over), and the element of artistic surprise inside, make each of her heart urns truly special. Even though I knew Patsy was suffering from advanced emphysema, I believed that she would live a long life and continue to create these beautiful pieces. The sad reality is that she left us too soon, and there are very few of her heart urns in existence. It is my hope that each of her pet urns will find its way into a special home to be cherished for a long, long time — in memory of a beloved pet, but also in appreciation of the wonder-inducing beauty of Patsy’s artistry.”
