This lovely spirit house is a one-of-a-kind creation by Skagit Valley artist Patsy Thola Chamberlain (1936 – 2015).
Wikipedia defines “Spirit House” as a shrine to the protective spirit of a place.
In this case, however, we believe that Patsy’s small spirit houses are perfect to adorn the top of a pet’s wood urn…grounding it to the earth while creating a beautiful sanctuary for the spirit of the beloved pet.
This spirit house is not intended to be an urn, but rather a special urn adornment or a stand alone work of art.
The exterior is a soft seafoam green. Wheat-like cut-outs adorn two sides, while the other two sides display a rainbow/sun/bridge shape with rising waves of heat (or perhaps spirits?).
Patsy only made a few of these spirit houses before she passed away. Life Cycle is pleased to be able to offer this spirit house to you.
Numbered and signed by the artist.
