House of the Sun Urn

House of the Sun Urn

This lovely urn is a one-of-a-kind creation by Skagit Valley artist Patsy Thola Chamberlain (1936 – 2015).

This charming piece is in the shape of a house. The base is forest green with a cross pattern. The “roof” is a turquoise blue with a lemon-lime sun.

Unlike most of Patsy’s other urns, this piece does not open at the top, but rather has a secure cork-and-ceramic “stopper” on the bottom.

This urn is appropriate for the cremated remains of a pet weighing up to 150 lbs.

This urn could also be used as a companion pet urn for the cremated remains of several (two or three) small pets.

Special note from Bobbie Ruth Langley, Owner & President of Radiant Heart After-Care for Pets:

“This special piece was procured from Patsy’s widower, and my good friend, Ron Chamberlain in March 2017, on what was my 5th or 6th visit to Patsy’s studio in Sedro-Woolley. The studio itself is so peaceful — white walls, high windowed ceilings, Patsy’s colorful works of art everywhere — that I find it hard to leave. When I do finally pull myself away, the peaceful feeling of being there stays with me, and is easily recalled just by contemplating one of Patsy’s works of art, especially one of her urns. It is my hope that each of the select pieces available through Radiant Heart will find its way into a special home to be cherished for a long, long time — in memory of a beloved pet, but also in appreciation of the wonder-inducing beauty of Patsy’s artistry.”

Numbered and signed by the artist.
